The project

The Ecosistema project brings together all existing information in the fields of museums, libraries, archaeology, and music on a single platform.

Within the ecosystem, the ARCCA Project - Campania Knowledge Architecture, implemented by SCaBeC - Campania Cultural Heritage Society, aims to support the testing of technologies that support the conservation, enhancement, and enjoyment of Campania's cultural heritage. Research, development, and innovation, in line with the smart cities approach, are the tools for disseminating models of integration and advanced technologies.

The project contributes to promoting and disseminating the Campania Cultural System through a digital environment that allows for description, digitization, and new forms of online use, while also promoting the development of emerging markets, with benefits for the regional administration, citizens, and businesses in the area.

ARCCA is designed as a true management and information ecosystem characterized by a distributed, service-oriented environment capable of supporting both cultural operators in heritage management and curation activities and users of cultural content through its output interfaces and integrated services available throughout the territory.

The Campania Archaeology subsystem is aimed at all citizens, researchers, scholars, and specialists who, through a single environment, will have the opportunity to learn about the region's archaeological heritage, exploiting the potential of a modern search engine that will allow users to navigate in a user-friendly way through the various sections, until they reach the details of the individual object they are looking for. The approach to be adopted will therefore meet the needs of both the general user, who is curious and interested in the world of libraries but not in scientific research, and the specialist user, who will be able to use the search engine in the manner appropriate to the sector in question.
